Présentation
The local partner has identified a need in the Jenin region for a rental company of agricultural machinery. In this region a large number of small and mid-size farms are active, but they cannot afford the larger agricultural machines. The machinery is mainly aimed at preparing empty land for cultivation and harvesting olives, almonds and grain. The consortium will also establish a workshop for proper maintenance of the equipment and start trading and leasing the equipment to bigger farms in the region. The applicant L.M.B. Roelofs B.V. is a company that sells agricultural equipment and offers maintenance. The recipient Al Shamali Ltd for Vegetable Oil is mainly active in producing olive oil from the olives that are abundantly produced in the region. Al Shamali has different activities in the region.They will establish a joint venture company with a 50/50 share division for implementing the project. The project will be established on a piece of land that is already owned by Al Shamali for Vegetable Oil. The rental of agricultural machinery on a professional base is new for the Palestinian Territories. The project will reduce employment by introducing mechanisation on one hand. On the other hand the project itself will provide employment and also the increase of farm size with the customers will stimulate employmen
