Résumé
With the objectives to estimate the production of nopal [Opuntia ficus indica (L.)] in an intensive system of production and model the relationship of biomass with air temperature degree-days (GD), developed a research the years 2008-2009, in the form of hydroponics, Faculty of Agronomy, University Campus Marín N. Autonomous L. Mexico. We used the cultivar "Villanueva" at a density of 16 plants per m2 and a standard nutrient solution. Irrigation was applied by subirrigation every other day renewing the nutrient solution every week. The harvest was done nopalito every seven days during the months of March to August 2009. The results show a monthly average production of 4.36 kg m- 2 fresh biomass de (BF) and 0271 kg m-2 of dry biomass (BS), being the months of April, May and June the most productive. Both BF and BS were associated with GD by a binomial function with coefficients of determination R2 Adjusted = 0.74 and 0.86, respectively. The maximum growth rates for the month of May were 0.0676 kg m-2 GD-1 BF and 0.0038 kg m-2 GD-1 to BS. The highest total mineral content in nopal was observed in April, May and June.
