Ecological Environmental Quality is directly related to the regional hydrology condition and hydrological environment, and regional hydrological situation plays an important role on the ecological balance. Especially, in the arid and semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas, the ecological environment restrict to the stability of the water supply situation. However, in these areas, the development and utilization of water resources did not consider ecological environment protection and improvement of water resources share, resulting in the deterioration of the ecological environment. This paper based on the theory of macroeconomic research began to take my study on inland river. We studied and calculated the ecological water demand of eight kinds of vegetation through the "principle of water balance”in the region for inland river from 2001 to 2003, in microeconomic. It enriches the research of ecological water use, and it is an attempt to the suitable planting structure and the ecological water demand. This paper provides scientific evidence and theory for arid and semi-arid grassland ecological restoration of degraded grassland desertificationThe main content of this paper are as follows : 1) To analysis the water relationship characteristics of artificial vegetation ecosystems ; 2), to calculate the actual ecological water use of eight kinds of vegetation based on the test data ; 3), to calculate the deficit of regional ecological water use under the rate of different precipitation guarantee according to the local precipitation data ; 4) To determine the ecological water consumption scale, then we can determine water quantity for artificial vegetation and ecological restoration and gain the theory for planting vegetation for sand degraded grassland.Through the test analysis in the arid and semi-arid grassland, the main conclusions are as follows : in growing season, the quantity and the distribution of precipitation are the main factors which determine the seasonal variation trend of soil moisture, and the trend of seasonal variation of soil moisture for different vegetation is similar strongly in the same year ; the ecological water use of eight kinds advantage vegetation is close to precipitation in growing period, ; Joe, shrubs and grass ecological water consumption are greatly influenced by rainfall for arid and semi-arid grassland, without irrigation, only depending on atmospheric precipitation ; precipitation in the region can meet the water needs of vegetation in growth period, furthermore the vegetation do not disappear and perish for the stress of water. So the eight kinds of vegetation are suitable for the area, and are good to the region grassland vegetation recovery. It has theoretical and practical significance for governance and restore of regional sand grassland degradation.
