It is a specific theme of soil in the 21st century in China that improving soil quality to promote agriculture and develop continuously. The soil salinization is one kind of the land desertificated and degradation. Arid area took the whole national area 1/3 in China . The soil salinization is the principal restriction of arid region agricultural development,it is also import factor that affect the stable ecological environment of Oasis. Therefore,the research of the soil salinization is for the sustainable development of Oasis, and is also a research with import theory and practical meaning throughout the world, specially in arid area. The temporal and spatial evolution research of soil-salinization is always one of the geography hotspots. The prediction methods integrating with Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and Experts System are used extensively.On the whole,owing to the complexity of occuring system of the soil salinization ,the reseach of soil salinization bias to natural factor. The visual modeling and forecasting of temporal and spatial evolution research of soil-salinization is not practicl enough. The extraction of the soil-salinization information by using RS technique is mainly on the base of spectral characteristic of soil, precision and method of information extraction are to advance.This thesis makes the typical arid area as a study area, using RS、GIS、GPS technique and gray system theory to quantitative the temporal and spatial change ; to quantitative the driving force ;to advance the information extraction method of soil salinization based on RS. This thesis has also offered foundation for administration of the soil-salinization and region agricultural sustainable development decision-making, and offered experience for other arid area research working on soil salinization at the same time. The main aspects of the paper as follows:1. In consideration of the information extraction of RS of soil-salinization is mainly on spectral characteristic of soil, the lower precision of classification result and slower map-making. Using characteristic variables, such as spectral characteristic of soil, vegetation, slope, soil humidity. Explor and realize the automatic abstracting, which based on the knowledge of the soil-salinization. Develop method of soil-salinization information extraction.2.Combine the latest production and arid region work by predecessor both abroad and home, analyse the characteristic of soil-salinization system at study region ; Incorporate using traditional open-air soil investigate with RS technique to analyse the characteristic of soil salinization change from 1989 to 2001 and from 2001 to 2007. Utilizing procedure analysis method to study the dynamic change of the soil salinization in current situation .3.For the time being ,GIS has powerful spatial analysis ablitity, therefor to process multifactor dynamic analysis by using GIS has a great of difficulties. GIS combining with gray system correlation analysis to quantitative spatial effect fators of temporal and spatial evolution research of soil-salinization. Modify the extent of natural and human dynamic factors of soil salinization. To offer the foundation for decision-making of the soil-salinization administration. Owing to the effects of human to nature, land administration and water modulating are the main driving factors to the change of region soil-salinization.4.Based on the defining of characteristic and driving factors of soil-salinization, predict the future quantity of salinization soil, analyse the environment effect of future soil-salinization, make out the measures of soil salinization prevention and cure.The formation of soil salinization in arid area dues to natural factors to some extent, for instance, climate, slope, geology, geomorphy, hydrology and soil quality. Soil salinization can be divided into sub-salinization and original salinization according to the formation cause.The human activity can accelerate or delay the procedure of soil salinization, for example,the hydrology procedure modulating and land utilization method. The study aim of soil salinization is to harness effectively and utilize land resources sustainabled. The main causes of soil salinization in arid area is that the mankind utilize the water and soil resources unreasonably.So the foundation of harness of soil salinization is to transit human concept, advance human quality, establish sustainable developmental concept, organize favorable water circulation system. Comprehensive harnessing combines with subarea harnessing ,put forward prevention and cure countermeasure of soil salinization with pertinency and operability
