Aiming at to clarify the chemical compounds and their insecticidal activities of plant savin(Sabina vulgaris Ant.), The dissertation focused particularlily on isolation and identified of insecticidal compounds from savin, co-relationship between chemical construction and insecticidal activities of podophyllotoxin analogues and e bioactivities of insecticidal substances from savin plant against the larvae of Mythimna separate Walker. The results showed as follows:1. Aiming at to clarify resource chemistry and insecticidal compounds of essential oils from S. vulgaris, the dissertation analyzed and compared with the chemical compounds of extracts with 3 methods hydrostillation(HD), supercritical CO2 extraction(SCE) and distilled with petrol ether(PEE) from the plant berries with GC/MS. And fumigant activities of 3 mehtods extracts were assayed against the adults of Musca domestica Vicial, Stitophilus zeamais Molschulsky and the larvae of M. separate Walker. The results showed that SCE was the better methods to extract essential oils than the 2 other methods for its higher extraction ratio and fumigant activities. Furthermore, the chemical compounds of essential oils were analyzed with GC/MS and fumigant activities were tested against the adults of M. domestica, which were extracted from 3 organs : berries, stems and leaves, 3 varieties : Sabina vulgaris Ant., Sabina vulgaris var. yulinensis T. C. Chang et C. G. Chen and Sabina vulgaris var. erectopatens Cheng et L. K. Fu and leaves from 7 location in China : Yulin district of Shaaxi province, Wushen district of Inner Mongolia, Qilian mountain in Zhangye district of Gansu Province, Helan mountain in Yinchuan district of Ningxia province, Wulan county of Qinghai Province, Tianshan mountain and Altai mountain in Sinkiang Province with SCE. The results showed that there were a degree of differences among chemical compounds of essential oils from different savin varieties, locations and organs, which maybe result from characteristics of taxa, ecology and environment of location and plant secondary metabolizing. There were unconspicuous differences among fumigant activities of essential oils from 3 savin varieties, but significant differences among fumigant activities of essential oils from 7 location savin leaves, also among 3 organs. The fumigant activities of essential oils of savin leaves collected from Helan mountain in Yinchuan district of Ningxia province, Yulin district of Shaaxi province, Tianshan mountain and Altai mountain in Sinkiang Province were higher than other locations, and berries higher than leaves and stems, so these 4 area savin berries should be
