Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province region is one of China’s major desertified areas , key areas of Gansu Province, desertification control . The area is dotted with a large area of ??the Haloxylon in Tamarix Kalidium the Sand Calligonum psammophytes , has an important role to protect and improve the local desert habitats in The great gerbil local group of plant species in the building as the main food , bring serious harm to the Hexi Corridor in the Sand desert vegetation . In this study, as the main object of study, Minqin desert forest great gerbil on the great gerbil hazards activity patterns and control techniques were studied through field investigation and testing . The results show that : the great gerbil (Rhombomys opimus) Day obvious double peak , the same day the two peak periods , respectively, around 10:30 am and 16:30 noon activities frequently significantly lower . Year-round activities for the bimodal -shaped curve ,5- June , the first peak , the second peak in September-October , activities frequently significantly lower in July and August . Great gerbil eating food in the study area were the Haloxylon - Shami - Reed - Kalidium - white thorn - Lo of Tamaricaceae - Calligonum - golden pheasant child is a - fog ice quinoa - Camel Punta - Elaeagnus . Studies have shown that the distribution of the sand rat holes group , The sand rat holes in the cluster distribution in the fixed dunes, interdune , windward slope and Haloxylon stand , a small hole in the semi-fixed sand dunes and Kalidium stands group distribution , shifting sand dunes , dune crest and leeward slope and pearl stands basically no big the sand rat hole group distribution . A certain degree of feeding is conducive to the growth of Haloxylon when the branches feeding rate more than 40% when the tree growth will cause harm . Great gerbil on of Haloxylon twigs and cake feeding preference no difference ; the Haloxylon twigs and corn and carrots between the bait away difference is highly significant ( p lt ; 0.01 ) , cakes , corn and carrots bait away rate there is a very significant difference ( p lt ; 0.01 ) , there are also significant differences between corn and carrots . Physical and mechanical Prevention Act the great gerbil prevention effect is not ideal . Bromadiolone , zinc phosphide and control effect of Botulinum Toxin Type C in more than 70% , indicating the great gerbil have good control effect of the three chemicals
