Résumé
This research is part of the research group, GEPAT (Group of Studies and Research on Water and Land). The objective of this dissertation aims to discuss about three categorical worked in Geography : territory, gender and water. This triad proposed as the object of analysis is justified to the extent that these categories provide opportunity to understand the power relations that permeate the discussions on the management of water resources and are in different spacial territorialized of semiarid Paraiba.Given these more general discussions on gender relations and water, we sought to understand their relationships to elucidate this Masters research. In the case of women linked to the Brazilian Semi-Arid Articulation (ASA-Brazil) noted that his actions also represent the struggle of all peoples. This coordination is done through a policy of coexistence, of awareness and articulation of social projects. The discussions will highlight the various ways to live and stay in semi-arid regions, such as access to training and water management. The importance of studies on the spaces occupied by women has been subject to historical transformation and has been gaining importance not only in geography but in other sciences such as sociology, social sciences, history, among others. We studied women Cariri Paraiba, specifically in the Lajedo Timbaúba in the sense of relational space. Given this, we tried to analyze the programs and actions that somehow fulfill the task of regulating the supply of water. The methodology was based on qualitative fieldwork, under this assumption we seek also discuss some initial readings of theoretical and methodological order, which will provide support for analyzing gender relations in water management in the state of Paraiba.
