Project description
Assistance Technique National Plus (ATN+) is a five-year project funded from October 2008 through September 2013. The primary goals of ATN+ are the reduction of maternal, child and infant mortality through strengthening the capacity of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to provide high impact health services and to promote healthy behaviors in Mali. Specific key technical components of the project include malaria, maternal health, family planning, nutrition, child health, neonatal health, health communication and systems strengthening.

Major activities
Provide technical assistance to the MOH in the development and implementation of MOH workplans at all levels of the system ; support the MOH in the roll-out and implementation of its new ten-year health strategy to all levels of the health system ; and participate in high-level policy discussions.
Introduce, monitor, analyze, and disseminate proven high-impact health practices and innovations.
Scale up proven interventions, mobilize resources, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.
Strengthen the quality of health service provision, supervision, monitoring and evaluation, analysis, and resource planning.
