Objectif (s)
The project aims at enabling technical and economic actors of Farmers Organizations with knowledge and skills for local food processing activity, by strengthening the capacity of small-scale semi-industrial food processing enterprises

Activité
As a part of the strategy to reduce poverty and food insecurity in Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger and Togo the promotion of local agriculture at the community level proves to be an appropriate approach.
The project strategy is built around two main criteria :
1) Capacity building on technical, economic and organizational issues for food processing units at the local level to increase and diversify the supply of processed products and improve marketing and economical sustainability ;
2) Multi-stakeholder dialogue (Farmers-based Organizations, NGOs, local authorities), through the creation of national forums, to ensure the information sharing and expertise to support local small-scale food processing enterprises in rural areas.
