Résumé du projet
Rokeeb village located to the east of Hadibo capital city of Socotra. There live 63 families in 41 homesteads and a total population of 345 inhabitants. Water source is a distance away well where women bring it home on their back. It took more time and no enough water is available in their homes. Community proposed having a solar energy driven pumping system to convey water at home stead through a networks of piping to reduce women labour. Project sustainability is secure through installation of water meters in each homestead where each house hold pays for into a revolving fund box. In addition to water supply the project helps community to build their awareness of the environmental values and project sustainability.
