Résumé
The work was performed during 2006/07 and 2007/08 agricultural years on North of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, with the objective of evaluate three plants density and three rows spacing of sorghum cultivars in semiarid climatic conditions. For this were conducted two different works with four grain sorghum cultivars and four forage sorghum cultivars. Each year were made experiments on contiguous area, using the row spacing of 50 cm, 70 cm and 90 cm. For each experiment were evaluated three density sowing, 100 thousand, 140 thousand and 180 thousand plants.ha-1 more sorghum cultivars. The experiments were conducted in completely blocks design in factorial 4x3, with three replications, with four cultivars and three sowing density. Initially were made analysis of variance with the data obtained. After were made a joint analysis of variance with three experiments in each year and other considering all data obtained in experiments. The potential for grain and forage sorghum cultivars production on Minas Gerais semiarid was observed in works. For grain sorghum the row spacing reduction promotes increasing in grain productivity and the population increase depends of cultivar, spacing and climatic conditions prevailing in agricultural year. For forage sorghum the feasibility of the row spacing reductions depends of cultivar in function of climatic condition. The sowing density increase causes reduction in dry matter productivity and higher plants lodging.
