Résumé
The Saq aquifer in Tabuk area of northern Saudi Arabia was modeled using the Groundwater Modeling System (GMS) for the groundwater pumping period 1989 to June 1997. The simulation model was used to develop the response coefficients, which used to link the simulation model with the management model. The management model was developed for the five year period (1997-2001). The management model includes two objectives : The first is to find the maximum discharge that each well can yield under some constraint. The second is to minimize the total drawdown while at the same time trying to satisfy the minimum discharge required from each well. The result shows that the minimum demand from each well be satisfied for the five year management period. The result also can show the maximum discharge that each well can yield and which well is more reliable.
