Objectif
To contribute to the food and nutrition security of poor smallholder producers in South Sudan through the improvement of livestock health and containment of disease outbreaks and state-level emergency response capacities.

Activités
* Distributed 1.85 million doses of vaccines and six different types of drugs to nine SMARFs to carry out animal vaccination and treatment campaigns.
* Vaccinated 810 500 cattle, sheep and goats against anthrax, blackquarter, contagious bovine pleuropneumonia, contagious caprine pleuropneumonia, and haemorrhagic septicaemia.
* Vaccinated 10 950 dogs against rabies.
* Treated 69 750 cattle, goats and sheep for trypanosomosis, East Coast fever and flukes, among other diseases.
* Repaired and serviced nine refrigerators to improve the cold chain systems in Central Equatoria, Lakes and Western Bahr el-Ghazal States.
* Trained 16 meat inspectors on practices to detect zoonotic animal disease infections, proper meat handling, proper disposal of slaughter waste and hygiene for slaughterhouses.
* Enhanced the capacities of 30 CAHWs to diagnose and treat animals and proper administration of different types of vaccines.
* Improved the capacity of 34 FSL Cluster partner staff to mainstream protection in food security programmes.
