Présentation
The local community will take an active part in all the activities of the project, as it is assumed that families living near of the park, will be involved in the works on the creation of the greenhouse and nursery and will be trained on the basics of ecotourism. Project will result in the creation of two nurseries with drip irrigation system on 1.5 hectares of trees and shrubs. More than 100 people will receive income from the project.
The local population, representatives of the village council of Kara-Oy, as well as members of the GEF SGP in the Issyk-Kul region are interested in this project, as it is aimed at preserving dendrology park Kara Oh, arboretum of rare and endemic plants and an information campaign for the public Red Book of Issyk-Kul.
