Présentation
It’s promoting environmentally-sound fishing practices in Khan-Younis in the southern coast of the Gaza. The project will contribute to solving crucial fishing problems particularly in the coastal area of Mawassi Khan-Younis. It will provide sufficient supply of environmentally-sound fishing facilities and nets for a group of 436 fishermen in the area. It will also draw the fishermen attention for the harming impact of particular fishing practices such as poisoning, explosions and pulling practices on destroying the fishing habitats and threatening marine biodiversity as well as degrading fishing generation. The project will also address the shortage of accurate information on the fishery sector in Gaza, challenges and regulations on marine life and fishing practices through establishing a website on fishery.
