Présentation
It’s information and dissemination and raising community awareness (particularly women and students) on energy saving, energy efficiency practices through conducting sessions, workshops and broadcasting T.V and Radio spots. The project also aims to increase the efficiency of about 500 solar water heaters by ; carrying on an overall maintenance assessment for changing broken glass, painting panels, adding new solar collectors.

Resultats

Environment : Increasing the efficiency of 456 solar water heaters through carrying out the needed maintenance for the solar heaters in 15 location in Nablus Governorate (including changing broken glass, painting panels, adding new solar collectors,….etc.), the processes carried out by cooperation with the local NGOs in the targeted villages.

Gender : In cooperation with local communities and institutions the project team conducted 30 meetings for community on the method of energy saving in 30 locations the main beneficiaries from these meetings are women (680 women).

Awareness : Increasing the awareness to 7500 children and 680 women and more than 100000 citizen through : • Visiting 30 schools in cooperation with the ministry of education and schools directorate to raise awareness of the children in issues related to energy saving and clime change. • Distributing stickers and time table contain messages in energy saving for 1200 students. • Conducting 6 workshops : (2) aiming to influence decision makers, NGOs and community leaders on procedures to conserve energy consumption for public and private institutions ( about 50 persons participate in the workshops). • (2) aiming to influence university students and the role of university students on energy saving ( about 60 students participate in the workshops). • (2) aiming to influence the teachers about the role of teachers in raising awareness on energy saving ( about 50 teachers participate in the workshops) • Producing one TV spot and one Radio Spot on energy saving and the importance of marinating solar heaters the two spots broadcasting for (6) months.
