The project will contribute to raise school students environmental awareness of the importance of conserving biodiversity through identifying native plants species particularly those threatened or endangered of national and/or global significance and demonstrating the effect of chemical agricultural practices, and the human and political aggression on the conservation and the preservation of the biodiversity.

Environmental benefit : The project helped to restore a large number of native Mediterranean plants and trees through establishing eight school clubs in the eight schools in the middle area of Gaza/ Dair Al Balah. The project also improved students understanding of simple methods of biodiversity conservation and encouraged students to take the leading role in conservation activities.

Training sessions were organized for students to learn skills of reusing the natural plants waste to creatively produce handcrafts such as baskets, plats and wall hangers.
Awareness/information : During the project, school students get involved in an interactive environmental activities such as sites visits for significant natural sites like the wadi (s) and recording environmental songs and poems.
