Présentation
The project targets to introduce and spread as much as possible the technology of conservation agriculture. In the conditions of the state order for major cash crops (cotton and wheat), absence of crop rotation (monoculture) and obsolete techniques of irrigation lead to severe problems of soils salinizations and loss of organic substance in soils. The project offers a practice of no-tillage agriculture with keeping constant vegetation mulch on the field surface, planting wind breaking, field protecting tree lines and introduction of limited crop rotation as a way out of the existing situation. This technology was successfully introduced in Karakalpakstan.
