Descriptif
Empower new cooperatives in Alburz through agricultural trainings and input As severe winters and drought have led to marginal revenues for rural communities in Alburz in Northern Afghanistan, large parts of the population became indebted and/or migrated to displacement camps. NPO/RRAA, a local NGO, aims to empower local communities by establishing (agricultural) cooperatives, providing them with trainings and essential items to improve their production

Objectifs
This project aims to contribute to the sustainable enhancement of vulnerable farmers’ livelihoods in Alburz. Specifically, it seeks to decrease the level of farmer’s dependency on external support, improve the livelihoods of farming communities and prevent migration.

Goals
* Train and connect women regarding carpet weaving
* Train one veterinarian per established cooperative
* Train farmers in a.o. cultivation, pest control, new varieties
* Distribute improved agricultural inputs
* Establish agricultural cooperatives
