Résumé
The aim of this research is to determine the physical input requirements and functional analysis of sugar beet production by Cobb-Douglas type production function on the farms in Central Anatolia Region and also to calculate the appropriate sugar beet production function of Region by generating data with simulation method. For this purpose, from 4 provinces (Ankara, Eskişehir, Konya, Yozgat) that have the largest sugar beet production area in Central Anatolia Region, 2 districts were chosen for each province and three villages were chosen for each district in order to form the main population. The number of survey sample was determined as 120 by simple random sampling method. It was determined that for sugar beet production per decar 108.39 hours man labour, 2.2 hours tractor power and 10.1 hours motopomp power were needed. Other materials used for the production are 0,48 kg seed and 118.37 kg chemical fertilizer. For the functional analysis of sugar beet production, the production quantity was chosen as a dependent variable and man labour, tractor power, used chemical fertilizer, irrigation period and sugar beet production area are taken into consideration as independent variables. The relationship between dependent and independent variables is : Y=3,1537 X^15733 X20’09146 X30’14679 X/08121 X50’5615 (Se=0,03427) (R2=0,986).The production elasticity of X5 is found important(consequential) on 1 % and X2 is found important on 5% error ratio level statistically. The function derived from with simulation method is : Y= 3,08546 X^15727 X20-07924 X30’13936 X4007803 X50,55829 (Se=0,033460) (R2=0,988)AII production elasticities are found statistically important on 1% error ratio level.
