Titre : Remote Sensing Characterization of Crop Stress for Precision Agriculture
Identification : 6066-22000-079-04
Pays : Chine Etats Unis
Durée : Mar 01, 2014 à Feb 28, 2019
Partenaires : Crop Production Systems Research Unit (CPSRU), Jamie Whitten Delta States Research Center (JWDSRC), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Department of Agricultural Remote Sensing and Digital Agriculture, Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning (IARRP), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS
Objectif
The objective of this research to conduct theoretical analysis of crop spectrum and relate vegetation indices with crop growth parameters for characterization of crop stress caused by multiple factor
Descriptif
In general the collaboration will involve in research and development of innovative methods for characterizing crop stress based on theoretical analysis of vegetation spectrum to provide substantial information for precision agriculture. Specifically, the collaborative project will cover the following aspects : a) remote sensing data resource exploration from spaceborne, airborne (piloted and unmanned), ground on-the-go, and lab in-house platforms ; b) crop leaf and canopy radiation transfer modeling and inversion ; c) mechanism analysis between vegetation indices and crop growth parameters ; and d) analytical applications and verification. The collaborative research and development will be conducted for on-site experiments and analysis in the experiment base of IARRP, CAAS in China and the research farms of USDA ARS CPSRU in Stoneville, MS, USA. The research and development will be conducted at locations of the two parties. The results of the research will be shared by the two parties, and delivered as Science Citation Index (SCI) peer reviewed journal publications with mutual authorship.
