Objectif
The wider objective is to raise the standard of living of farmers in LDC’s through more effective use of soil Mycorrhizae activity.
The immediate objectives are : * To exploit biofertilisers for the increased nutrition of crop plants. * Use mycorrhizae to pass phosphate from phosphate rock to the crop plant. * To stimulate the associate bacteria, Azotobacter and Azospirillum by the addition of straw. * Use of straw and crop residues plus urea to increase development of Mycorrhizae. * Establish Mycorrhizae nurseries on sites under investigation. * Research results presented in progress and final reports to DFID.
