Résumé
This research is carried out in the framework of the Belgo-Sino Cooperation project (VLIR-EI 13v33498 project). The influence of precipitation on runoff and sediment transport on a silt loam soil of the Loess Plateau near Luoyang (Henan Province, China) is investigated by means of field rainfall simulations. The results were compared with infiltration measurements using a double ring infiltrometer and results of the Green-Ampt model. The presence of a sealed layer was examined using a penetrometer. As concerns the sediment transport, a relationship was found between the stream power and the unit sediment load of the runoff water. The different factors of the USLE were estimated for the experimental fields near Luoyang, in order to assess the annual actual erosion under conventional tillage
