Résumé
In this work it is considered that the characterization of the water which the wells of Zimapán, Hidalgo provide is of the type calcium-bicarbonates and mixed- bicarbonates. Considering the classification of Piper for underground waters, only that these present high arsenic contents, although there are also lead and manganese concentrations slightly above the permissible maximum limits in drinkable waters ; considering the levels that surpass the norm, the one which represents a bigger risk for t he human health is the arsenic. In another part of the study the com position of the sediments from the distributor of water was determined. In these, there were high arsenic concentrations (20 g.kg-1 ), placing it like one of the ma in constituents of these ; lead and manganese in the same sediments were determined at appearance levels, confirming the arsenic as the element of more risk for the human health ; also a study about the behavior of arsenic lixiviation applying the method of Tessier shows that the arsenic can be present in two main forms of association that can correspond to arsenates in the fractions F1 and F2, and to oxides and sulfides that leaching respectively in the fractions F3-F5. Also, there were tests carried out to diminish the arsenic contents in samples of water of well V, using natural, commercial adsorbents and resins of ionic exchange. It was found that the resins of strong anionic exchange of type macroreticular, are those that present bigger capacity, specially the resin IRA-900 that presented a capacity of 600 Vagua. Vres-1 with concentration average of 24 mg.L-1 before its saturation. Therefore in this same work a proposal is presented to take the study at plant pilot level and to optimize the process.
