Contexte : The project aims at strengthening the social protection systems in Zimbabwe in order to reduce widespread household poverty, provide for basic needs, and give care and support to the most vulnerable children, in particular those affected by HIV/AIDS. Zimbabwe being currently in a process of transition and recovery, Switzerland has chosen to participate in a trust fund managed by UNICEF, to avoid disbursements or procurements through the (still weak) government system.

Objectifs : Re-establish social protection schemes which ensures that by 2020 all children in Zimbabwe live in a safe, secure, and supportive environment that is conducive to child growth and development.

Groupes cibles  : The direct beneficiaries will be : * 55,000 ultra poor and labor constraints households * 525,000 children accessing basic services in Zimbabwe.
