The present study alma to examine the lapect of the several developmental activities on the agricultural front in the district by identifying 1) the influence of the various factors on the cropping pattern end farming techniques 2) the constraints and restraints holding up the change for the better 3) the ehlft in the cropping pattern in the district during the period 1970-80 4) the farming techniques adopted in the district 5) the rationality of the farmers in a drought prone area in using the scarce agricultural resources# by calculating the agricultural efficiency and relative yield index of crops.
