Présentation
Objectifs : To enable returning women and men to have the sustainable and durable means to restart their agropastoral livelihoods and rebuild their productive capacities.
Activités : •Procured and distributed 14.2 tonnes of cowpea seed and 21.3 tonnes of sorghum seed to 710 households in Baidoa, Bay Region during Deyr 2013. •Procured and distributed 35.5 tonnes of cowpea seed, 53.3 tonnes of sorghum seed and 1 775 sets of hand tools (including one axe, one hoe and one sickle) to 1 775 households in Baidoa, Bay Region during Gu 2014. •Distributed 525 tonnes of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer to 1 750 households during Deyr 2013 and 319.5 tonnes of DAP fertilizer to 1 775 households during Gu 2014. •Trained lead farmers from targeted villages on good agricultural practices and fertilizer application (e.g. microdosing) to further train farmers in their localities. •Prepared customized leaflets and posters on good agricultural practices for the production of cowpea and sorghum and distributed to each targeted household upon receipt of seed. •Procured, treated, vaccinated and ear-tagged 6 000 productive goats and distributed them to 498 beneficiary households in Hiran Region during spring 2014. •Verified implementation of project activities through monitoring and evaluation, including through due diligence, biometrics, the FAO Somalia call centre and awareness campaigns.
