Présentation
Objectifs : To strengthen Disaster Risk Management Agriculture Task Forces (DRM ATFs) in order to improve the management and coordination of agriculture- and livelihood-related disasters in Ethiopia.
Activités : Brought together key actors in the agriculture sector, including line ministries, United Nations agencies, NGOs and donors through DRM-ATF meetings. •Coordinated agriculture sector drought response and comprehensive disaster risk management activities through monthly DRM-ATF meetings and discussion fora. •Supported the preparation of meeting agendas and the circulation of minutes including information on weather and climate change, food and livestock price trends, agriculture and livelihood response updates, regional DRM-ATF updates, discussion fora issues and recommendations. •Prepared and shared four briefing papers that focused on crop, water, pasture and livestock conditions, weather, market prices and ongoing activities. •Collected an agriculture and livelihood interventions response update from each DRM-ATF member on a monthly and quarterly basis and a mapping of who is doing what and where was prepared and shared. •Supported belg and meher rains assessments in Afar, Somali and Tigray Regions through the provision of vehicles and experts to assist the Government-led agriculture needs assessments.
