Objectifs : To restore and improve food and livelihood security and self-reliance of vulnerable IDPs, returnees, women-headed households, pastoralists, agropastoralists and host communities in the Darfur region through enhancing their capacity to increase their agriculture and livestock production and productivity.

Activités : •Provided 30 998 nomadic pastoralist and agropastoralists with 1 834 600 doses of livestock vaccines for the protection of 921 800 animals. •Collected and analysed 4 500 serum samples from three different states to assess the effectiveness of the animal vaccination chain. •Supported 14 440 households with the provision of 300 tonnes of concentrated animal feed, 8.43 tonnes of mineral licks, and training in improved animal husbandry practices. •Assisted 8 804 households with 55.252 tonnes of vegetable and legume seeds, as well as 1 675 tools and ploughs, and 280 treadle pumps. •Trained 1 500 households (60 percent women-headed) in sustainable agronomic practices as well as irrigation, seed selection and storage techniques. •Rehabilitated a total of 25 shallow wells. •Established ten community-based nurseries for the production of tree seedlings and distributed 60 000 seedlings to 5 200 households be planted in deforested areas. •Trained 257 women on the production of fuel-efficient stoves for the manufacturing of 500 stoves. •Trained 1 017 returnees on water management techniques, including terracing and contour ridging, as well as on soil friendly agricultural techniques.
