Présentation

Objectifs : To ensure that affected populations receive appropriate and sufficient food security solutions in times of emergency.

Activités : •Organized monthly meetings among FSAC partners to share information on the implementation of their respective programmes across the country. •Facilitated the production and/or circulation of various food security assessments and analysis reports to provide baseline data for the 2014 Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan (YHRP). •Engaged Cluster partners in the development of the 2014 Food Security Strategic Response Plan, which was fully integrated into the 2014 YHRP. •Implemented a new information management system to eliminate gaps and overlaps in Cluster partners’ service delivery. •Attended meetings of various clusters (Early Recovery, Health, Nutrition, etc.) to enhance intersectoral coordination. •Facilitated the implementation of emergency food distribution activities for internally displaced and conflict-affected populations, as well as safety net and cash and voucher programmes (conditional and unconditional cash assistance benefited 130 000 people in 2013 ; 55 000 people assisted and improved their food consumption scores in the first six months of 2014).
