Présentation

Objectifs : To address critical humanitarian needs and promote effective and efficient responses by ensuring strong Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC) leadership and coordination of emergency food security and agriculture interventions, as a result of common analysis of the food security situation and good quality information management and monitoring systems.

Activités : Facilitated FSAC monthly coordination meetings. •Supported existing working groups and established a Cash- and Voucher-based Intervention Working Group. •Contributed regularly to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs monthly humanitarian bulletin. •Released four FSAC quarterly newsletters, quarterly “who does what where” maps and dashboards and a periodical bulletin with important Cluster news, upcoming events and Web site updates. •Contributed to the Common Humanitarian Action Plan (CHAP) 2013 Mid-Year Review and the CHAP 2014. •Facilitated trainings for Non-governmental Organization staff on humanitarian access, the Rapid Assessment •Form and the Season Food Security Assessment (SFSA). •Produced gender-based violence tools and encouraged their use among partners. •Participated in the SFSA and pre-harvest appraisal in 2013. •Supported the Afghanistan Food Security Technical Team in producing IPC maps. •Strengthened the FSAC Web site and other information and communication tools. •Responded to drought, floods and conflict-induced displacement in 2013 by preparing relevant emergency preparedness and response plans.
