Présentation
Biogas is a combustible and colorless gas which is derived from the breakdown of organic compounds in an anaerobic (no oxygen) environment. It can be used as an alternative to natural gas and LPG. The Kahramanmaras Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the cooperation of Sütçü İmam University and with the support of The GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP) have built two biogas pilot installation of 15 m³ capacity in Ayaklıcaoluk and Elmalar Villages in Kahramanmaras. The first installation in Ayaklıcaoluk, which is a first in Turkey after 1980s, is being used in three houses where no more LPG supply needed. Moreover, in houses where the stove system is set, heating is provided without the need of using wood, coal or electricity
