Project outcomes : To catalyze an increase of Fragata local community resilience through implementation of sustainable agro ecological practices
Project outputs : 1. Women beneficiaries will have a greater ability to implement micro and sustainable agri-business units in Fragata ; 2. Families beneficiaries will use appropriate technology and best practices to reduce the loss of important biodiversity on park buffer zone, while promoting the reduction harvesting of fuel wood and use of improved stoves ; 3. Beneficiaries acquire specific competencies in management of micro businesses, production and fixation of endemic plants and fruit trees, as well as good water-use practices for agriculture ; 4. Fragata farmers rehabilitate the Morro Branco spring will implement best practices in crop irrigation, specifically installing micro irrigation kits on 566 m2 of land ; and 5. The Fragata Association implements a co-management agreement with the Monte Gordo Natural Park area, specifically in the field of land reforestation.
