Présentation
Nakalega farmers cooperation is a community based project that is run by Ou-bog trading cc with the sole aim of producing nutritional food to community members especially the elderly and those living with HIV and on medication to prolong and sustain the virus, provide agricultural training to villagers, promote and tackling rural poverty through sustainable agriculture, mitigate the effect of climate change and its impact on communal subsistence farmers and most of all providing the much needed employment to community members.
The project aims to construct an earth dam in the Cuvelai flood plane to harvest flood/rain water and also to fill the dam with water from the canal. They also want to train the farmers in rangeland management and encourage them to use conservation agriculture.
