Présentation
OCHA has described Hiran, South Mudug and Galgadud as ‘the epicentre’ of Somalia’s humanitarian crisis. Central Southern Somalia (CSS) has 75% of the acutely malnourished caseload of the country and, in March 2011, there were over 149,000 people displaced in Galgadud alone. In Galgadud there are 253,000 people in AFLC while 131,000 are in HE of whom 25,000 are pastoral destitute. Due to the drought, already some 50,000 Somalis have been displaced within the country. IDP’s across the country are also continuing to report malnutrition rates above emergency thresholds.
