This nutrition program aims at addressing the high levels of acute malnutrition. it is integrated with community based nutrition of B+ level, IYCF and NHHP activities as well as community resilience activities. GEWDO is also implementing Targeted General Food Distribution (TGFD) to integrate with the nutrition program. GEWDO works with other clusters by interlinking its ongoing projects with other clusters’ responses. Elwak is bordering with Garbaharey district and the two communities interacts with each other, specially the pastoral communities in the rural area, therefore, a good number of pastoralists from Elwak benefit from these ongoing projects during their movement in search of water and pasture.
