Résumé
The main component of the equation of water balance is the total evaporation (evaporation + transpiration), because it has been estimated that up to 70% of the precipitate volume is lost in this process in semi-arid areas where rainfall has a high spatial and temporary variability, and where also the exact or estimated amount of water provided by the herbaceous vegetation in this phenomenon is not known. Therefore, the selection of a method for semi-arid areas to adequately quantify the evapotranspiration of herbaceous vegetation was essential. For the above measurements were performed in field different climatic factors in calculating the evapotranspiration such as net radiation, relative humidity, vapor pressure, wind speed, etc., obtained through a weather station located on the site study of the watershed "El Carmen", Dolores Hidalgo, Gto., and evaluated by several methods. In parallel, directly it measured the amount of water that transpires the four species of most dominant case study herbaceous vegetation, and a comparison between those measurements and estimated was performed only by the method of Penman- Monteith, so that they were adjusted the characteristic parameters of the equations that determine evapotranspiration, addressing physical, experimental and statistical aspects related to water balance equation, with the equation of energy balance and the Penman- Monteith. The results obtained in the study area determined that the amount of water lost due to herbaceous vegetation in the process of evapotranspiration was really significant so it has a great impact on the equation of water balance, along the way the evapotranspirated volume was used to raise effective strategies for water and soil conservation was distributed.
