Résumé
The Kochia scoparia is a forage with a height contents of protein, in addition to possess a great rusticity, this plant is grown on arid and semiarid zones. Were utilized 40 growing sheep with an initial weight near of 15 kg of indefinite genotype, having a trial period of 84 days, with a previous adaptation of 7 days ; the animals were assigned at random in 5 treatments with 8 repetitions, utilizing composite diets (mixtures of 30 percent of forage and 70 percent of concentrate) ; the alfalfa was substituted in 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent by hay of Kochia scoparia, these diets contained around 49.7 percent of corn, 6. 9 percent of soja bean pasta, 10 percent of molasses of cane, 0.5 percent of bicarbonate, 2.5 percent of Ganatec-25, 0.3 percent of Optimin-PR and 0.25 percent of Salt. The sheep didn’t show difference (P>0.05) to gain weight of daily (GWD) between treatments ; the intake of dry matter (IDM g/day), didn’t differ between groups of sheep, showing intakes between 865 and 924, g/day ; the intake of food (percent weigh live) went from 3.30 to 3.49 ; the feed efficiency was from 4. 2 to 5. 3 kg of food for kg of increase of weight ; the digestibility in situ of the dry matter (DISDM) was of 83.19 percent for alfalfa and 78. 46 percent for Kochia scoparia, this decreased in 2. 21 percent when was substitute 25 percent of alfalfa for hay Kochia ; However you kept stable when the addition was of 50, 75 and 100 percent of hay Kochia ; as the Kochia’s level was on the increase in the diet, the glucose also incremented, showing the higher values in the T75 with 122. 4 (mg/dl) and the lower values in the T0 with 85. 4 (mg/dl) ; However the rest of the examined metabolites (Creatinina, Cholesterol and total proteins) didn’t differ between treatments. When the level increased in Kochia’s inclusion in the diet, the values of FDN and FDA tended increase also, however Lignin tended to descend. The concentrations of acetic acid, propionic and butyric they did not present differences between treatments. The statistical analysis was accomplished using the procedure SAS’s GLM (1990) for a design completely at random. Therefore it is deduced than Kochia’s hay scoparia can substitute in a 100 percent the alfalfa in diets of 30 percent of forage without damaging his productive behavior itself.
