Résumé
In this paper, the soil water movement and evapotranspiration characteristics of were studied during the growing season.At the same time,the water demand characteristics of the Kentucky bluegrass and water saving mechanism were also studied,in order to provide the corresponding theoretical basis for water-saving irrigation in semi arid area of lawn.The results show that :(1)Turfgrass can effectively control the evapotranspiration of shallow soil moisture.The evapotranspiration of Kentucky bluegrass turf was related to the root biomass and distribution.The rainfall and the humidity at the ground level of Ocm could significantly affect the evapotranspiration of Kentucky bluegrass turf.(2)The evapotranspiration of the Kentucky bluegrass turf increased with the increase of mowing height.In the growing season,there were two peaks of the evapotranspiration of Kentucky bluegrass turf and in the year of May and July.(3)During the growing season in semi-arid area Hohhot,the Kentucky bluegrass turf with mowing heights of 3cm,5cm,8cm,12cm,and non mowed should be irrigated at the time when the soil moisture content of 0~30cm soil layer reached 15.05%,14.40%,13.98%,13.73%and 13.57%,respectively.Generally speaking,with the increase of pruning height,the irrigation frequency and irrigation amount of Kentucky bluegrass increased.Compared with the traditional irrigation level,the irrigation amount of Kentucky bluegrass turf decreased.
