Résumé
Taklimakan desert,the largest drifting desert in China,is the location of Middle Taklimakan Desert Oil Field,which is the biggest desert oil field of China.While,the extreme natural circumstance and frequent blown-sand activities in Taklimakan seriously threatened the oil production safety and physical-mental health of workers in operation district of oil field.Constructing protection forest and enlarging green area were the primary ways to lower safety risk and improve the working environment in the hinterland of desert.However,because of the extreme arid climate,there was no fresh water on earth surface.The high-salinity underground water was the main irrigation water for the protection forests and artificial oasis on the earth surface.It is of great significance to apply salt-tolerant and drought-tolerant plant in the shelterbelt and artificial oasis in the hinterland of desert.In addition,the study on salt and drought tolerant mechanism is a hot issue in the field of ecology.It is of unique ecological significance to study the impact of salt-drought stress on growth and Physiological characteristics.In this study,a field control experiment with 7 salinity levels and 5 water treats was carried out in the hinterland of Taklimakan to investigate the impact of drought-salt stress on growth and physiological characters of four species of ornamental plants.The result show that :(1)Under irrigation water of different salinity,the survival rates and increments of total biomass,plant height and crown width of Buddleja alternifolia Maxim were distinctly higher than that of Salix psammophila.Therefore,of the two shrubs species,Buddleja alternifolia Maxim deserved a priority introduction under each salinity level.(2)When the salinity of irrigation water was lower than 13g/L,the increments of plant height and crown widths of Populus pruinosa Schrenk were higher than that of Fraxinus sogdiana Bge.While,when the salinity of irrigation water was higher than 15g/L,the mortality rate of Populus pruinosa Schrenk showed a sharp rise to nearly 70%.What’s more,the increments of plant height and crown width of Populus pruinosa Schrenk became to lower than that of Fraxinus sogdiana Bge.As a result,when the salinity of irrigation water was lower than 13g/L,Populus pruinosa Schrenk should be a priority choice in introduction of the two arbor species,and Fraxinus sogdiana Bge would be introducted when the salinity of irrigation water was higher than 15g/L.(3)The salt tolerance of Fraxinus sogdiana Bge and Buddleja alternifolia Maxim were higher than 17g/L,and that of Populus pruinosa Schrenk and Salix psammophila was 15g/L and 8g/L respectively.It should be noted that Buddleja alternifolia Maxim began to show Symptoms of salt injury when the salinity of irrigation water was higher than 15g/L,while,Fraxinus sogdiana Bge grew well under salinity of 17g/L.As a result,both Fraxinus sogdiana Bge and Buddleja alternifolia Maxim could be introduced when the salinity of salt water was lower than 17g/L,while,Buddleja alternifolia Maxim was more suitable for introduction in areas with salinity below 15g/L.Populus pruinosa Schrenk should be introduced into areas where the irrigation water salinity was lower than 15g/L,and that of Salix psammophila was 8g/L.(4)When irrigated with fresh water or low salinity water,irrigation amount was the primary impact factors of plant growth : when the irrigation amount was higher than 30 L or lower than 20 L,increment of plant growth was lower relatively.Except Fraxinus sogdiana Bge,on which the effect of irrigation amounts was not obvious,the other three plant species grow better under irrigation amount of 20-25 L.Under high salinity,salt stress was the dominate impact factor to plant growth.When the salinity of salt water was close to or reached the salt tolerance threshold of plant,salt stress distinctly inhibited the growth of plant
