Présentation
Project’s Primary Objective : To strengthen conservation of Lake Victoria basin in Magu District through training and demonstration of aquaculture practices for wider adoption by Lake adjacent local communities.

Implementation Strategies : 1. Consolidation of demo fish ponds through strengthening water pumping system by integrating it with solar energy 2. Streamlining of demo fish ponds by controlling leakages through laying down of pond liners 3. Renovation of water outlet and inlet structures 4. Establish demo plots for vegetables that are fed to fish ponds by using the new practice of hydroponics 5. Increase conservation awareness and concern through stakeholders training for local communities adjacent to Magu shore line.

Project sustainability strategies : 1. Fish ponds will yield catch after every six months. This will give the group operating income 2. Vegetables will be grown for fish. Surplus vegetables will be sold to give income to the group 3. Production of fish feeds will generate income for the group on sustainable basis 4. Government extension staff will provide technical knowledge and skills all the time
