Présentation
Project’s primary objective The main objective of the proposed project is to cope with the impacts of climate change and environment/ forest degradation by conserving biodiversity, catchment and improving livelihood to communities adjacent to Miombo woodland forest in Tabora Municipality.

Project specific objectives : * To construct efficient energy cooking stoves, produce charcoal briquette and carbonised furnace. * To build capacity of communities on the use and maintenance of efficient and improved cooking stoves. * To create awareness on conservation of the environment and natural resources for climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Implementation strategies : The project will be implemented through use of schools, prisons in the region, and vendor’s women groups (Mama lishe) who are the primary users of charcoal and restaurants that are in the Municipality. Women and youths will also be involved in the project implementation for sustainability and continuity.

Project sustainability strategies : Communities and groups involved in climate change interventions and other environmental conservation activities will be involved to ensure a sense of ownership. This will ensure sensitizing and mobilization of community involvement, tracking progress in project implementation and in assessing the outcomes and impacts of the project. In addition, the project will generate funds through the selling of the briquettes and by the involvement of tobacco selling companies in the region.
