Présentation
Context : The areas where schools and churches will be implementing the proposed project have started to experience water shortage. This implies that the areas are subjected to future water stress and therefore jeopardizing the existing water catchment areas, rich biodiversity, local livelihoods and farm productivity. The proposed project will therefore address and incorporate sustainable water management in the targeted area as well as addressing climate change issues of concern to people.

Project’s primary objective : The main objective of the project is to strengthen the schools and churches capacity to conserve the existing water sources and recover the nearly disappearing ones.

Project’s purpose : Improve water availability to churches and schools in Chunya - Mbeya.

Specific objectives : • Improving the existing water sources through tree planting • To minimize the communities future vulnerability to water stress and conflict among users • To incorporate sustainable water conservation measures to adapt and mitigate climate change impacts.
