Résumé
PCA GIRE (Programme Conjoint d’Appui à la Gestion Integrée de l’Eau) is a programme on Integrated Water Resource Management in Mali especially in the Niger basin. The project is a cooperation between the Dutch, Swedish and Malian governments. The aim is to further implement good water governance within Malian and improved river basin management of the Niger river. The DNH (Direction Nationale de l’Hydraulique) is the owner of the programme, however as IWRM is multi-sectorial, many other ministries and governmental organisations are involved. Objectifs
Strengthen the implementation of IWRM at the local, national and international levels by supporting the Malian authorities and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the national water policy and to improve data and information on the access and quality drinking water for the population in rural, semi-rural and urban areas in the 10 regions of Mali and the district of Bamako, by the implementation of a complete mapping of all water infrastructure of Mali
