Résumé
One of the main objectives of the field of surface hydrology is the estimation of peak flood, runoff volume, and infiltration. The peak flood characteristics including its magnitude are directly and/or indirectly related to several morphological parameters, in addition to rain pattern. The flash flood which is the main feature of arid and semi arid zones with steep land slopes is more complicated to measure and/or estimate. Shuffled Complex Evolution Metropolis, Regression, and Artificial Neural Network are used to find a new set of equations describes the relation between rainfall and runoff in four Arab countries.
