Résumé
The objective of this thesis was to evaluate the grain yield of twelve promising varieties of chickpea and its morphic agronomic components under La Molina district conditions. Ten varieties were provided by the UNALM Grains and Oilseeds Legumes Program that come from the International Center for Agricultural Research in Arid Areas (ICARDA) and two local witnesses as control. The genetic material was installed under the Complete Random Blocks Design, with twelve treatments and three repetitions, the sowing took place in August 2000 in the Guayabo I field, of the La Molina National Agrarian University. The following were evaluated : grain yield, number of pods per plant, percentage of empty pods, number of grains per pod, weight of 100 seeds, number of primary basal branches per plant, days to flowering, days to harvest maturity, plant height, habit of growth, vigor and commercial quality analysis of the grain. Analysis of variance was performed for the quantitative characteristics, in addition to the respective Duncan test. Significant differences were found in the behavior of the chickpea varieties for grain yield, which shows the genetic variability of the material tested for the given environmental conditions. The FLIP95-23C variety with 1606 kg/ha was the one that obtained better performance that exceeded the national average. In addition to the witness Blanco español and Rosado Precoz. All the varieties were precocious for the characteristic : days at flowering and days at harvest maturity. The grains of the varieties were from small to medium size, the color of the grain was pink and other white, with a rough and smooth head and a lobed and globose shape.
