Résumé
The goat is c’r1e of the most inmportant domestic animal of value to man in the tropics Goats have a variety or functions and in comparison with other ruminants, display a unique ability to adapt and maintain themselves in harsh environments. It is believed that the goat was the earliest ruminant to be domesticated \Zeuner. 196.3a) and that of all the domestic animals, save the avg, the goat probably has the widest ecological range \Epstein, 1965).
