Présentation
The implementation of the project will be based on a participatory approach through which all the men / women concerned will be directly involved. * Coach women to plant forest trees on their farms. * Organize an environmental and natural resource animation program with a group of men and women and another group of students. Number of beneficiaries : 220 students in 3 schools / 150 women and men (80 women and 70 men).
* The project will create a dynamic on the socio-economic aspect. It aims to contribute to the creation of Sustainable Income Generating Activities through the empowerment of young people and women. * Support the SMSA by providing them with technical assistance and local support and the products will then be marketed in Tunisia and Europe with the experience of experts in fair trade. * Improve vegetation cover and subsequently reduce grazing intensity in forest areas (form of fight against land degradation).
The women will participate in the planting with the men which imposes a collaboration between them, later the sensitization concerning the important social role of the woman will support this collaboration. There will be aromatic and medicinal plants (eg rosemary) for the extraction of essential oils within the SMSA FEMALE EL AMANA and forest and natural pasture plants for grazing. The SMSA El AMANA will be the meeting place for the women beneficiaries, where they will apply the extraction of the oils and present their products which will be commercialized thereafter with the experience of the experts in fair trade which will generate local sources of income for rural women.
