Présentation
Objectif (s) : To ensure that Somali food, nutrition and livelihood security is strengthened at the household and community level thereby ensuring greater resilience to future shocks, such as those caused by conflict, drought and floods.
Activités : * Trained 34 government staff over 6 to 12 months in food security, market and livelihoods assessments and monitoring and analysis. * Trained 101 government, local university and partner NGO staff in IPC Awareness and IPC Level 1. * Conducted post-Gu and post-Deyr seasonal food security and nutrition assessments across Somalia from January to December 2017, including 61 nutrition surveys. * Supported the monitoring of market prices of essential food and non-food commodities in 71 markets across Somalia as well as the monitoring of rainfall performance and its impact on food security. * Updated and refined the FSNAU Early Warning Early Action database and dashboard, towards the production of regularly updated data, maps and charts. * Finalized and disseminated an Infant and Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) assessment in April 2017.
