The project aims at supplying water in Nouakchott for domestic and industrial purposes. The project includes : Construction of Water Intake facilities at Aftout on the Senegal River, Installation of Water Treatment Plant, Construction of concrete water reservoir, Installation of pumping stations, Supply and installation of Water Transmission Pipe (220 km), Installation of power supply system, Centralized treatment system, Technical Assistance and Supervision.
